The High Potential Individual visa, part of the UK’s points-based immigration system, aims to attract academically elite individuals who can contribute positively to the UK economy. It opened for applicants on 30 May 2022 under the new Appendix High Potential Individual.
This visa permits recent top global university graduates to work or seek work in the UK without a job offer or a Home-Office approved sponsor. Visa holders can work full-time at any skill level, including self-employment and voluntary work. However, they cannot work as professional sportspersons or sports coaches.
